Limonada Suissa

By Vanessa Isaac on Mar 09, 2010 at 10:53 AM in Recipes

Even though we call it limonada (from lemon), what we use is the brazilian lime that we call lemon in Brazil. If you make this drink in the US please use limes if you are in Brazil use the brazilian lemon.

Limonada Suissa

1 lime
2 tablespoons of sugar (or to taste)
8 or 9 Ice cubes
Cut the lime in half and remove inner pitch of each half. Make the halfs in smaller pieces (4 pieces). Bring the lime to a blender adding the sugar and ice. Pulse until the lime is reduced to small pieces. Add more ice (4 or 5 cracked ice) and blend for one more second. Remember to drink it right way, if you wait too long it becomes bitter.

Strain the juice to a nice tall glass and enjoy.

Note: You can also add soda water to taste for a different version of it.
